2023-24 Monthly Woodworking Workshops

Interested in trying woodworking? IPS holds monthly woodworking workshops for students between the ages of 21-36. Our four-week workshops will be held twice a week from 9:30am – 12:30 pm. Students can choose between classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Wednesdays and Fridays at the same time. The cost of each 4-week class is $1,680 per student.

Students will work on new projects each month using a variety of hand and power tools so we encourage them to sign up for multiple workshops throughout the year. Our team, consisting of a woodworking instructor and behavioral assistant, will provide students with hands-on training to create individual and group woodworking projects with a focus on these areas:

• safety procedures
• proper usage of hand and power tools to complete woodworking projects
• drawing and measuring techniques to design your own woodworking projects at home

Interested applicants are required to fill out an online application seeking information about their educational and health needs and interest in woodworking. We ask selected applicants to also come to IPS for a 30-minute in-person interview with an IPS woodworking instructor to determine their ability to handle a variety of tools and execute small-scale projects.
